India were 460-9 after 116 overs at stumps on Day 2 of the series opener against Sri Lanka on August 16. The visitors resumed from 288-2 and lost seven wickets for 172 runs on a day impacted by rain. There was a loss of nearly five hours of play.

In the evening, the cloud and humidity will remain, with a short spell of showers. The rain percentage is 59 percent, while the cloud cover reaches 76 percent and the humidity level touches 89 percent.
