OnePlus China General Manager Liu Baoyou revealed this upcoming phone during the Snapdragon Gaming Technology Awards 2026 held in China. He said that three patented and exclusive technologies have been included in OnePlus 16 to improve gaming performance. These include Wind Chaser Gaming Core, 165Hz High Refresh Rate Display and E-Sports Triple Chip Architecture.

According to leaked reports, the display of the phone will come with a 165Hz refresh rate, which will provide smooth frame rate delivery of up to 165fps in heavy graphics games like BGMI and Call of Duty. Along with this, this time a circular camera cutout can be seen on the back of the phone instead of a square module.
