Manchester United go into their final pre-season friendly against Ruben Amorim’s AC Milan today still unbeaten since the opening match against Wrexham.
Matthijs de Ligt has returned to light training, but he is not yet ready to feature. Benjamin Sesko also remains unavailable, although there is optimism he could make the bench for United’s Premier League opener against Hull next Saturday lunchtime.
Mason Mount did not travel after suffering an injury against Paris Saint-Germain and also missed the Leeds United match in midweek. Head coach Michael Carrick had said his withdrawal was only precautionary, but that now appears to have been overly hopeful, with the unlucky former Chelsea player seemingly set for another spell out.
Here is Carrick’s confirmed starting XI for today’s match.
Senne Lammens starts in goal.
Nous Mazraoui comes in at right-back in place of Diogo Dalot. Harry Maguire returns in central defence alongside Ayden Heaven, while Leny Yoro drops out of the side.
Luke Shaw is back at left-back, with Harry Amass named among the substitutes.
Andrey Santos starts in central midfield alongside Youri Tielemans, with Tyler Fletcher making way. Bruno Fernandes replaces Josh Zirkzee, and Patrick Dorgu keeps his place on the left.
Amad continues on the right wing, while Matheus Cunha comes in for Bryan Mbeumo as the central striker.
The substitute goalkeepers are Dermot Mee and Fred Heath. Karl Darlow is still unavailable following his move from Leeds.
The rest of the bench is made up of Leny Yoro, Harry Amass, Lisandro Martinez, Diogo Dalot, Jack Fletcher, Kobbie Mainoo, Toby Collyer, Tyler Fletcher, JJ Gabriel, Joshua Zirkzee, Marcus Rashford, Bryan Mbeumo and Shea Lacey.
