It also achieved the highest average revenue per customer in the industry. Airtel's total network data volume for the quarter was 31,062 crore GB.
Blacklist registered telemarketers
The minister said that action has also been taken against registered telemarketers. According to statistics, 41 registered telemarketers were blacklisted between August and December 2024, 12 in 2025 and seven by June this year.
Increase in complaints since 2022
A total of more than 31.09 lakh complaints were received in 2025. More than 12.84 lakh complaints were lodged against nuisance calls in 2021. Subsequently, the number of complaints decreased to 10.83 lakh in 2022. Complaints increased by approximately 26% to 13.62 crore in 2023, followed by a 42% increase to 19.38 crore in 2024 and a 60% increase to 31.09 crore in 2025. The number of complaints against nuisance callers has also increased.

According to the statistics provided by the Minister, between August and December 2024, 19.21 crore telecom connections were disconnected due to nuisance callers. The number of telecom disconnections decreased to 19.4 crore in 2025 and only 79,000 telecom connections were disconnected in the first half of 2026. However, there has been a steady increase in the number of actions taken against agencies that send nuisance calls and messages.
