Sree Vishnu’s period action entertainer Comrade Kalyan has already emerged as a musical hit even before its theatrical release, with the first two songs receiving a superb response.
Directed by Janakiram Marella and produced by Venkata Krishna Karnati and Seetha Karnati under the Skanda Vahana Motion Pictures LLP banner, the film has now locked its release date.
On the occasion of Independence Day, the makers announced that Comrade Kalyan will hit theatres on October 9, nearly a week before the Dussehra holidays begin.
The release-date poster highlights the film’s revolutionary backdrop, presenting Sree Vishnu in a Naxalite avatar.
He is seen walking through a dense forest with a rifle slung over his shoulder, wearing a dark green outfit paired with a striking red scarf.
Several armed comrades, including Satya and Mukku Avinash, are seen around him, further establishing the film’s rebellious setting.
However, their cheerful smiles and lively expressions add a fun and entertaining touch to the otherwise intense visual.
Mahima Nambiar plays the female lead in the film, while Vijay Bulganin has composed the music.
