Ambala Protest Turns Violent | Tear Gas, Lathicharge On NH-44; DSP’s Thumb Severed

Tensions erupted in Ambala as members of the Sikh community blocked NH-44 for nearly six hours, protesting the arrest of two Sikh youths linked to the Panjokhra Sahib assault case. Police used tear gas and lathicharge to clear the highway after clashes broke out. Several personnel were injured, including a DSP who suffered a serious thumb injury.
