Lucknow. On the occasion of Independence Day, the 16th Voluntary Blood Donation Mahayagya is being organized by Lucknow Police Mitra Parivar, linking patriotism with human service. One hand tricolor, one hand blood donation. This blood donation camp, organized with the message of humanity on Independence Day, will be organized on Sunday, August 16 from 12 noon to 4 pm at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (Civil) Hospital, Park Road, Hazratganj, Lucknow.

Let us tell you that Lucknow Police Mitra Pariwar is a service-oriented group of policemen associated with the police department and common blood donor citizens, who is continuously working in the field of blood donation and humanitarian service under the patronage of retired IPS officer Kavinder Pratap Singh and the direction of Sub-Inspector Jitendra Singh of Uttar Pradesh Police. This group organizes voluntary blood donation camps in various government hospitals from time to time.

Along with this, continuous campaigns are run to arrange free blood donation and blood donation for needy patients and to increase awareness about voluntary blood donation in the society. The objective of Lucknow Police Mitra Parivar is not only to organize blood donation camps, but also to develop such a blood donation culture in the society, in which no patient has to suffer due to lack of blood in the time of need. The members of the group believe that blood donation is not a service to any one person, but to the entire humanity.

Camp organizer Jitendra Singh said that Independence Day is an opportunity for us to express our gratitude towards the country. If our blood helps in saving the life of a needy person on this day, then what can be a greater human service than this? He said that blood has no religion, caste or religion, blood only saves life. He appealed to the police family, social organizations, youth, social workers, blood donors and common citizens to participate in this Seva Mahayagya and strengthen this blood donation campaign with their dignified presence.
