Natural remedies for skin care
As we age, our skin starts losing its natural glow and moisture. With age, problems like dryness, lifelessness and fine lines start appearing on the face. If you want to keep your skin young and glowing even at the age of 60, taking timely skin care is essential. Proper skincare helps reduce the signs of aging.
If you want to keep your skin hydrated and soft, there is no need for expensive products; Simple and natural ingredients are sufficient. All you need are some inexpensive and easily available ingredients to prepare a mixture that will bring back the glow of your skin. Here's a simple way to make natural face serum at home.
Essential Ingredients for Natural Serum
2 tbsp flax seeds
1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
2 tbsp rose water
1 tbsp glycerine
1 Vitamin E Capsule
Method to make flax seed face serum
First, add 2 tablespoons flax seeds and about half a cup of water in a pan and cook on low flame. When the water thickens and becomes gel-like, turn off the flame. Let it cool, then strain the mixture through a clean cloth or fine sieve.
Next, add 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel, 2 tablespoons rose water and 1 tablespoon glycerin to the prepared flaxseed gel. Finally, open a vitamin E capsule and pour the inside into the mixture. Mix all the ingredients well and store the serum in a clean, airtight container.
How to use serum
After cleansing your face at night, apply a small amount of serum on your face and neck. Massage gently and leave it on the skin. If you feel burning, itching or redness after application, wash immediately.
Flaxseed and Aloe Vera: Beneficial for the skin
The gel obtained from flaxseed helps in maintaining the moisture of the skin and makes it soft. Aloe vera gel is commonly used to soothe and provide hydration to the skin. Rose water refreshes the skin, while glycerin helps in retaining moisture.
Since this homemade serum does not contain any preservatives, it should not be stored for a long time. Use clean utensils and spoons to keep it. If there is any strange smell or change in color, throw it away. Don't forget to do a patch test on your arm before applying the serum for the first time. If your skin is sensitive or has any problems, it would be better to consult a dermatologist.
Remember: applying serum alone does not make the skin glow. Good sleep, balanced diet, adequate amount of water in the body and use of sunscreen during the day are also important parts of the skincare routine. No homemade serum can stop the aging process, but regular skincare can help keep the skin healthy, soft and glowing.
