JMI: Jamia Millia Islamia’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has launched 11 new certificate and diploma programs for the 2026-27 academic session. Interested students can apply until September 8.

The new programs include certificate courses in French, Spanish, Chinese, Persian, Arabic, Russian, Photography & Video Editing, Anchoring & Broadcast Presentation, and Indian Knowledge Systems.

Additionally, a diploma in AI & Digital Media and an advanced diploma in Conflict Analysis & Peace Building have been introduced. With these additions, the total number of programs offered by CDOE has reached 60.

Jamia Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi stated that these employment-oriented and skill-based programs would strengthen higher education opportunities and enable students from remote areas to access quality education. CDOE Director Prof. Aslam Khan informed that candidates could apply online until September 8.

Change in Entrance Exam Date: B.Ed. and MVA
The entrance exam for admission to B.Ed. and MVA (ODL) programs will now be held on September 19 instead of August 22. The exam will take place at the Jamia campus. It was stated that the schedule for document verification for selected candidates would be communicated via their registered email addresses. The process of document verification and fee submission will run from September 26 to October 6, while admission formalities can be completed by October 10.

Pursue Diplomas in Various Languages ​​at JNU
The admission process for Jawaharlal Nehru University’s (JNU) Diploma of Proficiency (DoP) programs for the 2026-27 academic session has commenced. Interested candidates can register for admission via the link https://jnuee.jnu.ac.in/ until August 17. Under this, candidates can pursue a DOP (Diploma of Proficiency) in Uzbek (via the Centre of Persian and Central Asian Studies), Hebrew (via the Centre of Arabic and African Studies), Mongolian (at the Centre for Korean Studies), and Bahasa Indonesia (at the Centre for Chinese and South-East Asian Studies).

The university has also included Bahasa Indonesia, Hebrew, and Uzbek in the list of part-time programs mentioned in the prospectus. Additionally, a DOP in Pali will be available through the School of Sanskrit and Indic Studies. The university has advised candidates to carefully read the admission criteria before applying.
