DU UG Admission 2026: Three rounds of undergraduate admissions at Delhi University for the 2026-27 academic session have concluded. Spot rounds will now be held to fill the vacant seats. DU has announced the first spot round for these seats. Students who have passed the Class 12 compartment examination will also have the opportunity to secure admission to vacant seats, provided they have registered with DU during the mid-entry phase.

When will the first spot round for DU UG admission begin?
The first spot round will commence on August 23.
Details regarding vacant seats, broken down by college and course, will also be released on the same day.
Students will not have the option to upgrade their seat or withdraw their admission during the spot round.
Only those students who have not secured admission anywhere by August 22 will be eligible for admission in this round.

Which students will get admission in the spot round?
DU has clarified that candidates who have not secured admission in any college by 11:59 PM on August 22 will be eligible to participate in the spot round. To do so, candidates must select the 'Spot Admission' option from their dashboard. Candidates will only be able to select program-college combinations where seats are vacant according to their category.

Once a seat is allocated during the spot round, accepting it is mandatory. Failure to accept the allocated seat will result in the forfeiture of the candidate's eligibility for admission to Delhi University, and they will be excluded from the subsequent admission process of CSAS UG 2026.

When will the seat allocation for the spot round take place?
The option to upgrade or withdraw will not be available during the spot admission round.
A seat allocated during a spot round will be considered final and cannot be upgraded in subsequent spot rounds.
Candidates will be able to apply for the spot round via their dashboards starting August 23.
Seat allocation for Spot Round 1 will take place on August 25.
Students will have the opportunity to accept the allocated seat between August 25 and August 27. The fee payment process will continue until August 29.

**Option to upgrade seats and reorder preferences**
Students who have been allotted a seat will be able to upgrade it and reorder their preferences between August 16 and August 17 (up to 11:59 PM). Following this, the second round of seat allocation under the ECA, Sports, and Ward quotas has also been announced. This round will commence on August 19; students must accept the allotted seat by midnight on August 20.
