SOL Admission 2026: For the 2026-27 academic session at Delhi University's School of Open Learning (SOL), the BA Programme, B.Com, and Political Science (Honours) are emerging as the top choices for students. Among the 19 undergraduate programmes offered, these specific courses have recorded the highest number of registrations so far.

Meanwhile, there is significant interest in the MBA programme at the postgraduate level. Over 112,000 registrations have been recorded across the 19 undergraduate programmes to date, and these figures are expected to rise as the application deadline approaches.

The application process for undergraduate and postgraduate courses at SOL began on July 14. While the application and admission processes are proceeding concurrently, the deadline for admission has been extended. SOL Director Prof. Payal Mago stated that the initial application deadline of September 15 has been extended to October 13. So far, more than 112,000 students from across the country have registered with SOL.

**Political Science Led Last Year**
According to registration data from SOL, the BA Programme is currently leading in popularity, whereas Political Science held the top spot last year. Prof. Payal Mago explained that the BA Programme offers a wide range of subject combinations, attracting more students. As for Political Science (Honours), it is perceived as less demanding compared to other Honours programmes. The B.Com programme currently holds the third spot in student preference. Thus, these courses are attracting more students than other undergraduate programmes.

Meanwhile, over 9,000 admissions have been secured for the MBA programme. According to the SOL administration, the pace of admissions is currently somewhat slow. However, the pace is expected to pick up once admission opportunities in Delhi University's regular colleges conclude. Additionally, if a student enrolled at SOL is subsequently allotted a seat in a regular DU college, they have the option to enroll there instead. However, for this, he/she will have to cancel his/her SOL admission. Once the admission is cancelled, the remaining fee will be refunded to the student after deducting a certain amount in accordance with the rules.
