A major military accident came to light in America's Texas state on Wednesday. The US Army's AH-64 Apache attack helicopter crashed here. Both people in the helicopter died in the accident.
According to officials, the helicopter crashed in a field in the Bell County area. After the crash, a fire broke out at the spot, due to which many nearby houses had to be evacuated.
The reasons for the accident could not be known
Bell County Sheriff's Office spokesman Cliff Coleman confirmed the accident, saying both crew members on board the helicopter lost their lives. He said that the helicopter did not hit any building or house, but it was a fatal accident. At present the reasons for the accident are not known. Fort Hood's Criminal Investigation Division is investigating and all aspects of the crash are being investigated.
Brigadier General Ethan Diven said that the army's first priority is to secure the site and assist in relief operations. He expressed condolences to the soldiers and their families who lost their lives in the accident.
