Chase Briscoe, the Indiana-born racer and a well-known supporter of wingless sprint car racing, is purchasing a winged sprint car team in High Limit Racing.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver announced on Saturday morning at Iowa Speedway, while Brent Marks made a similar announcement down the road at Knoxville Raceway, that Briscoe was taking over Brent Marks Racing along with its Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing Roller Club Membership, which is the dirt racing series’ equivalent of a charter.

“We’re excited to announce that we’ve bought out Brent Marks Racing, and it will become Chase Briscoe Racing in the High Limit Series,” Briscoe said. “We’re excited to have a full-time car on a national tour. It’s something for me that’s been a childhood dream.”

With this move, Briscoe becomes the second new NASCAR-linked owner in the championship launched this year by Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet. He follows Jeff Dickerson, who bought the Jason Meyers Racing charter in December to bring Spire Motorsports into dirt track racing with Giovanni Scelzi as the team’s driver.

As part of the deal, BMR has been rebranded as Chase Briscoe Racing, while Marks will continue as general manager and as the driver of the No. 19 410 Sprint Car.

Brent Marks Racing started out as part of the famed Pennsylvania Posse before making its World of Outlaws national tour debut in 2017. Marks competed full-time with WoO from 2017 to 2019, then spent four years on a dirt outlaw schedule in which the team selected races and did not compete for points. In 2024, the operation moved to High Limit for the series’ third season.

By last summer, Marks and the team were running near the very top of the standings, and at one stage were only five points behind the leader. However, late-summer difficulties and fatigue affected the small team, with Marks stretched thin while handling three roles at once: owner, manager, and driver. In the end, Marks finished third in the 2025 High Limit Championship.

This acquisition gives Marks the opportunity to concentrate on what he and the team need to do from one weekend to the next in order to win races and fight for the championship, with added operational support from Briscoe and the new ownership group.

“For me, this wasn’t an easy decision because the team means so much,” said Brent Marks. “But at this point in my career, I wanna focus on being a racecar driver. Owning and operating a team takes an incredible amount of time and energy, and I believe this move allows me to put all of my focus into competing for wins and championships.”

Marks is coming off his 11th victory of 2025, achieved in High Limit’s Greg Hodnett Classic at Port Royal Raceway, Pennsylvania.

Before the start of Saturday’s portion of the 360 Knoxville Nationals, Chase Briscoe Racing unveiled its first sprint car livery outside the Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Iowa.
