Politics has intensified over the incident of stones, bricks and mud being thrown at the convoy of former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. TMC leaders have described this incident as serious and termed it a planned attack and conspiracy. Party leaders allege that Mamata Banerjee's convoy was targeted and attacked.

TMC MP Mamata Bala Thakur said that Mamata Banerjee is not an ordinary political leader. She has been the Chief Minister of West Bengal three times and has been an MP seven times. Apart from this, she has also held the responsibility of minister at the Centre.

While Mamata Banerjee was going to meet the family of a deceased TMC worker, her convoy was targeted. The convoy was attacked with stones and bricks while passing through the road.

Mamta Bala Thakur said that the window glass of Mamata Banerjee's car was closed, hence she did not suffer serious damage. If the car window had been open at that time, he could have lost his life due to the attack. Expressing serious concern over this incident, he said that any political difference should not be responded to in the form of such an attack.

TMC MLA Kunal Ghosh also made serious allegations against BJP regarding the incident. He reacted to CM Suvendu Adhikari's statement in which the incident was reportedly a result of public anger. Ghosh termed this claim as completely baseless.

He alleged that BJP along with its people carried out this incident. Photographs and videos of some people present during the incident have surfaced and TMC has already made public claims to the identity of those people.

He further said that in the video some people are seen allegedly attacking and raising slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram'. These people are familiar faces of the area and are associated with BJP.

TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha also strongly criticized the alleged attack on Mamata Banerjee's convoy. He said that to him this incident looks like a conspiracy rather than a general protest or public anger. They feel that all this has been done through some people. He is not taking the name of any person at this time and the situation will become more clear only after investigation.

Describing Mamata Banerjee as a popular leader, he said that she has been an influential political face in West Bengal for a long time. He also mentioned the recent election circumstances and the controversies arising regarding SIR.

Shatrughan Sinha alleged that the feeling of revenge is increasing in the political environment after the elections and that is why such incidents are coming to the fore. Sinha said that those who come to power with the slogan of change in politics should do politics of change and not work with a spirit of revenge. Current events are making the political environment more tense.

He said that apart from Mamata Banerjee, incidents have also allegedly happened with several TMC leaders and workers including Abhishek Banerjee, Kalyan Banerjee and Mahua Moitra.

He also mentioned the alleged misbehavior with political workers and said such incidents are not good for the democratic system. Violence or abusive behavior against any leader or worker should not be acceptable. Instead of reducing political controversy, such incidents can inflame it further.

TMC MP alleges that such incidents continuously coming to light against Mamata Banerjee is a matter of concern. He said that political opposition has its place, but violence and attacks are not appropriate for democracy.

He claimed that despite all the political circumstances, Mamata Banerjee's popularity remains intact. He also raised questions about the vote percentage and electoral process in Bengal and raised the issue of alleged anomalies to SIR.

Shatrughan Sinha further said that there may be political disagreement regarding Mamata Banerjee, but it is not appropriate to create a violent atmosphere by targeting any leader.
