Good news has arrived for Manchester United ahead of their pre-season fixture against Leeds.
The trio have rejoined their Manchester United team-mates after travelling to link up with the squad at their pre-season training camp in the Republic of Ireland on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Kobbie Mainoo was given an extended break after being part of the England squad that finished third at the World Cup earlier this summer.
After not playing a single minute during the tournament in North America, as the Three Lions were beaten by Argentina in the semi-final, the midfielder was then ruled out of the bronze-medal match win over France because of injury.
However, Mainoo now appears to have fully recovered as he gets ready to begin his pre-season programme.
Along with the aforementioned trio, Marcus Rashford has also linked up with the squad for the training camp, and Carrick has outlined his plans for the winger, who has not played a competitive match for the club since December 2024.
“I've played with him. I played in the game in which he made his debut, so we have a history,” Carrick said when asked about Rashford after the draw against Paris Saint-Germain.
“We have got a full squad this week in Dublin. We fly straight there and have a few days where we have the whole group back together.
“Marcus is part of that, and Kobbie and Lisandro. We are looking forward to seeing them.”
Manchester United have also confirmed the arrivals in Ireland of Matthijs de Ligt, Benjamin Sesko and JJ Gabriel, along with summer signings Karl Darlow — who joined from Leeds last month — and highly rated winger Tynan Thompson.
De Ligt is continuing his recovery after undergoing back surgery earlier this year, while Sesko and Darlow remain on course to be available for the start of the new campaign after missing every pre-season fixture so far.
