New Delhi – Renowned singer Sonu Nigam has once again proven that music is not just a profession for him, but an important part of his life. Enduring pain during surgery, Sonu sang for his doctor and medical staff in the operating theater. He shared a video of this special experience on social media, which has drawn wishes from his fans and many in the film industry for his speedy recovery.

Sonu Nigam shared a video from the operation theatre on Instagram, in which he can be seen singing Mohammed Rafi’s famous song “Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki, Na Jaane Tum Kab Aaoge” to the hospital staff during the surgery. The song is from the 1949 film “Dulari.”

Along with the video, Sonu wrote, “This was an impromptu performance for Dr. Nilesh Satbhai and his team during surgery. For me, singing through pain is the joy of music.”

After the video surfaced, fans on social media expressed concern for his health and prayed for his speedy recovery. Many also praised his courage. However, Sonu did not reveal in the video what illness or problem he underwent surgery for.

Earlier in June, Sonu shared a major health update on social media. He revealed that he had been suffering from a painful nerve problem for some time. He underwent several tests, including MRIs and CT scans, for treatment. He had also been taking medication for the condition for several days.

In one of his videos, Sonu said, “My nerves are under pressure. I’ve been undergoing tests like MRI and CT scans for about a week, and I’ve had to take a lot of medication during this time. I’m going through a lot of pain.”

Sonu also opened up about his throat issues. Describing the discomfort he faced during treatment, he said, “Physiotherapy was quite painful for me. I had to take painkillers to ease the pain. My throat feels a little heavy because of the medications.”
