People have been using stickers on WhatsApp for a long time, enhancing the overall chatting experience.

WhatsApp: Artificial Intelligence is reaching an advanced stage. People across the country are simplifying various tasks with the help of AI chatbots, and AI companies are constantly working on new features to improve the user experience. In this vein, OpenAI is developing a new feature for ChatGPT. Once launched, this feature will allow users to directly use custom stickers created via ChatGPT on WhatsApp.

Create Personalized WhatsApp Stickers with ChatGPT

According to media reports, stickers have long been a part of WhatsApp, enriching the user's chatting experience. Like emojis and GIFs, stickers offer a unique way to express emotions. They can include memes, funny characters, text-based designs, and various types of illustrations.

Reports indicate that OpenAI is preparing to add an option to ChatGPT that enables users to generate their own stickers using AI. A key highlight of this feature is that users won't need to download the AI-generated stickers; they will be able to export them directly from the chatbot to WhatsApp.

Clues Found in the Android App

Information regarding this feature has surfaced through specific strings of code in the latest version of the ChatGPT Android app. A report by *Android Authority* reveals details in the app's code pointing to the capability of integrating these stickers with other chat applications.

However, these indications suggest that the company is currently testing the feature. There is no information yet on when it will be officially launched.

Create Custom Sticker Packs Directly in WhatsApp

If this feature launches, using it promises to be quite simple. It is expected that stickers created in ChatGPT will come with an "Add to WhatsApp" option. Tapping this will allow users to add their created stickers to WhatsApp as a custom sticker pack.

This means it will become much easier for users to create stickers for specific people, inside jokes, memes, or special occasions, without needing a separate third-party sticker app.

But There Is a Condition

An interesting detail regarding this feature has emerged in reports. WhatsApp requires a minimum of three stickers to create a new sticker pack. Therefore, the "WhatsApp (3 minimum)" requirement seen in ChatGPT is considered a technical necessity imposed by WhatsApp rather than a restriction by OpenAI. Essentially, users must create at least three stickers in a pack before it can be added to WhatsApp.

Meta AI Already Offers a Similar Feature

It is worth noting that this is not an entirely new concept; WhatsApp is already working on its own AI-based sticker creation feature. Meta AI allows users to generate images or stickers based on text prompts. Consequently, ChatGPT's WhatsApp sticker export feature could intensify the race between OpenAI and Meta regarding AI-driven creative tools.

However, the advantage of the ChatGPT feature is that users could create stickers during their regular AI chat sessions and use them directly within the messaging app.

When Will It Launch?

OpenAI has not yet made an official announcement regarding the launch of this feature. Furthermore, it remains unclear whether the ChatGPT sticker feature will first roll out to beta users or be made available to all users immediately. The company has also not shared details on whether a WhatsApp app update will be required to use this feature. However, if the testing of this feature is successful, it is believed that it could soon be made available to users.
