Cameroon forward now has three goals in two matches as the Red Devils continue their testing pre-season schedule against the European champions.

Bryan Mbeumo found the net once more as Manchester United fought back to secure a 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain in their latest pre-season friendly in Gothenburg.

The Cameroon attacker, who scored both second-half goals in last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Atletico Madrid in Stockholm, enjoyed another fruitful visit to Sweden on Saturday. He calmly drilled in a 32nd-minute equaliser at Ullevi Stadium after impressive build-up play from Amad Diallo.

That came after United had gone behind as early as the second minute, when Dro Fernandez’s cross was turned in from close range at the far post by Liverpool target Ibrahim Mbaye, giving the reigning French and European champions PSG an ideal start.

Youri Tielemans came on for the final 25 minutes to make his United debut, while captain Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot were also brought on for their first appearances of pre-season. Noussair Mazraoui, meanwhile, was named in the starting line-up after returning from his own post-World Cup break.

There was some worry for Michael Carrick, however, as midfielder Mason Mount was forced off early while appearing to struggle with a possible foot problem. Veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton was also replaced by Dermot Mee soon after half-time because of a hamstring issue.

United now head to the Republic of Ireland for a training camp, which will be followed by a landmark clash with rivals Leeds at Croke Park in Dublin on Wednesday. After that, they will round off their pre-season campaign in Poland against AC Milan.

PSG, who were surprisingly beaten 3-0 by Mallorca in their opening game of the summer in midweek, will now turn their focus to the UEFA Super Cup against Europa League holders Aston Villa in Salzburg. That match will be followed by a meeting with Lens in the Trophee des Champions.
