Juventus: Spalletti on Di Gregorio, "Maybe he could have saved the second goal"
The Juventus manager gave his assessment of the goalkeeper's display after the defeat to Inter.
Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti spoke after the 2-1 friendly loss to Inter in the Derby d'Italia in Perth and reflected on Michele Di Gregorio's performance. The Juventus goalkeeper was on the pitch for the full 90 minutes and appeared slightly late in getting down for Inter's opening goal, scored by Federico Dimarco. He then made an awkward attempt to stop Inter's second goal, scored by Diouf, but was unable to keep it out.
Spalletti's view was direct: "It seems to me that Di Gregorio did well to make 2-3 saves from very difficult long-range shots, then perhaps the second goal could have been saved, but these are things that can happen, also because the shot was from close range."
Finally, Spalletti also made a brief comment on the transfer market: "We are trying to strengthen the squad in line with our ideas".
