Newcastle United have told Manchester United that Lewis Hall is not available for transfer in this summer window, according to Sky Sports.

The Sky Sports report, carrying updates from Keith Downie, Vik Varange and Danyal Khan, said Manchester United made an initial enquiry for the left-back, but Newcastle rejected it and made their position clear that they want to keep one of their brightest young talents.

Hall has been on Manchester United’s radar for a while, with the club looking for more options at left-back as Michael Carrick continues reshaping his squad.
