Seven-year-old Adiraj Mestry from Thane secured the second global rank at the AIMA World Championship – Abacus & Mental Maths Olympiad 2026 held in Taipei, Taiwan. Competing against 228 students from 15 countries, Adiraj delivered an outstanding performance. Team India also finished second overall with 46 medals, adding to the country’s strong showing at the event.
Thane, August 7, 2026: Seven-year-old Adiraj Mestry from Thane has brought international acclaim to India by securing the second global rank at the prestigious AIMA World Championship – Abacus & Mental Maths Olympiad 2026, held in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan.
The global event, held on July 26, featured 228 top-performing students representing 15 countries. Adiraj’s success follows his outstanding performance in February 2026, when he clinched the coveted ‘Super Champion’ title at the national level. His latest triumph on the international stage marks another proud milestone for Thane.
India Ranks Second Globally
The international championship saw fierce competition among participants from 15 nations, including India, Taiwan, the United States, Japan, Russia, South Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.
