NEET UG Counselling 2026: Registration for the first round of NEET UG counselling has commenced. If you have already registered and paid the fee on the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website, there is one more important step to complete. Many candidates forget to download certain crucial documents after filling out the form, even though these may be required later during seat allocation, reporting, or any verification process.
Let us look at the three documents you must download and save if you have registered to participate in the counselling.
What points should be kept in mind before starting registration?
MCC advises candidates to apply only through the official website, mcc.nic.in.
Use the same mobile number and email ID that you provided during the NEET UG 2026 application process.
Fill out the application yourself and do not rely on agents or unknown individuals.
Which three documents must be downloaded after registration?
If you have completed registration, fee payment, and choice locking, download and securely save the following three documents immediately:
Registration slip
Fee payment receipt
List of locked choices
These three documents could prove vital during the subsequent stages of the counselling process. Therefore, it is advisable to keep them safe—not just on your mobile phone, but also via email or cloud storage.
Why is it important to keep the high-security password safe?
Candidates are required to create a high-security password during registration. This password is used for future logins and for locking choices. Therefore, write it down or save it in a secure place.
What should be kept in mind while locking choices?
After paying the fee, candidates can enter their preferences for medical colleges and courses.
The order of choices can be rearranged, or options can be removed if necessary.
Once choices are locked, no further changes can be made.
Therefore, thoroughly review all your choices before locking them.
Is it mandatory to fill out the entire form in one go?
No. If the application cannot be completed in a single session, candidates may log out midway.
The process can be resumed later by logging back in from the point where it was left off.
Once registration and choice locking are completed, the subsequent seat allotment process will proceed according to the MCC's scheduled timeline.
