Celta Vigo have finalised an agreement this week with Premier League heavyweights Manchester United for the signing of one of the club’s goalkeepers.
The player set to head to Galicia for the upcoming season is Altay Bayindir.
Turkey international Bayindir is coming off a difficult personal campaign at Old Trafford last season. With the impressive Senne Lammens ahead of him in Manchester United’s goalkeeping pecking order, the 28-year-old was limited to only six Premier League appearances.
As a result, it had long been expected that Bayindir would leave before the end of the summer. And, as mentioned above, that move has now been agreed this week.
The update comes from transfer market journalist Fabrizio Romano, who reported:
“Celta Vigo have agreed a deal with Man United to sign Altay Bayindir as new goalkeeper, here we go! Understand it’s a loan move with €4m buy option, fee subject to changes based on appearances.”
