Tezzbuzz’s team reached RML Hospital in Delhi. Here the patients of rainy diseases like dengue, malaria and chikungunya are continuously increasing. Health experts say that if someone has fever for 48 hours or if the fever persists even after taking paracetamol, then they should immediately get tested for dengue. In the initial days, NS1 antigen test should be done for dengue. At the same time, rapid diagnostic test should be done for malaria. Apart from this, CBC test can also be done.
What did the doctor advise?
Doctors advise that if someone has persistent high fever along with frequent vomiting, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, difficulty in breathing or decreased urination, these are the after effects of dengue. To avoid all these, you should immediately contact a doctor. In case of fever, paracetamol should be taken. This can be repeated in 6 to 7 hours. If the fever still does not subside, then keep the patient away from everyone in a quiet and comfortable environment. Try to reduce the fever of the patient by tepid water sponging method. Give them adequate amount of water and easily digestible food.
