Fulham FC have officially confirmed the signing of 22-year-old forward Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid. The transfer has been completed for a fixed fee of €40 million, with a further €2 million in add-ons. As part of the agreement, the Spanish club will also keep 30% of any future sale as well as a right of first refusal.
The academy product from Madrid has signed a five-year contract running until 2031, with the option of an additional season. The attacker will wear the No. 7 shirt and will link up again with coach Alvaro Arbeloa, under whom he impressed in the youth system at La Fabrica.
Garcia moves to the Premier League after making a big impact at the FIFA Club World Cup, where he finished as the tournament's top scorer, and after netting eight goals for the Real Madrid first team last season.
