Manchester United are not looking to sign Arsenal defender Myles Lewis-Skelly.

United are searching for a new left-back after finalising the arrivals of Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos and Karl Darlow.

Tyrell Malacia has departed on a free transfer, while Patrick Dorgu is likely to be used in a more advanced position.

Luke Shaw impressed last season, but he has now moved into the final 12 months of his contract at Old Trafford.

United are aiming to bring in a long-term successor to Shaw. They had been linked with Arsenal's Lewis-Skelly, but they are not actively trying to sign him.

The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the finest prospects to emerge from the Gunners' academy. He has already featured 75 times for the first team.

Lewis-Skelly found first-team chances hard to come by last season, but he grew in importance as the campaign progressed towards its conclusion.

The England international started five of Arsenal's last six matches, including the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester United's primary target is Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall, although any agreement is not expected to be straightforward.

The 21-year-old is open to the idea of joining the Red Devils, but Newcastle have no plans to let another important player leave.

The Magpies have already seen Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali leave for Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur respectively. Captain Bruno Guimaraes is also close to sealing a transfer to Arsenal.
