Kerim Alajbegovic has spoken of his pride after sealing a move from Bayer Leverkusen to Juventus in a deal that could rise to €40m. The 18-year-old winger, who spent last season on loan at Salzburg, said he was thrilled to join the Italian giants on a five-year contract and made it clear that he feels ready for the demands of Serie A.

Young talent completes major transfer

Juventus have now officially finalised the signing of Alajbegovic from Leverkusen for an initial fee of €33m, with add-ons capable of taking the overall package to €40m. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international winger has signed a five-year deal in Turin that runs until June 2031. Alajbegovic arrives at the Allianz Stadium after an impressive loan spell with Salzburg, where he produced 13 goals and four assists in 44 appearances.

Alajbegovic’s dream move to Turin

Speaking through the club’s official channels, Alajbegovic shared his pride after being presented by the Old Lady. He could not hide his excitement after arriving at his new club.

Speaking about his first impressions of Turin, Alajbegovic said: "Yesterday at the Allianz Stadium I felt some wonderful emotions. I can't wait to get started, I’m very proud, it's a great honour to wear this shirt and I’ll give my all."

Asked to explain his style of play, the Cologne-born winger said he is "a player who likes to have the ball" and enjoys shooting, dribbling, creating chances and passing in order to push attacks forward.

International experience and confidence

Alajbegovic has already earned 11 caps and scored two goals for the senior Bosnia national team, including a goal at the 2026 World Cup. He also recalled scoring his penalty when Bosnia knocked out Italy in the World Cup play-offs in March.

Looking back on that match, Alajbegovic said: "The match against Italy was a good one, fortunately we won in the end, but it was very difficult and they played very well. I feel ready for Serie A and for Italian football. Playing for the biggest team in Italy is a source of pride, and I’ll have to work hard to improve."

He underlined his determination to "adapt very quickly and show my qualities straight away," while also offering advice to his younger self: "Believe in yourself, because you can achieve a great deal."

Spalletti integration now awaits Alajbegovic

Alajbegovic is now getting ready to fully integrate into the Juventus first-team set-up under Luciano Spalletti before the new season begins. His ability to play on either wing, along with his comfort using both feet, should be valuable strengths as he looks to win a starting place. The Bianconeri begin their Serie A campaign with an away match against newly promoted Frosinone on August 23.
