Weather Update: Weather conditions across the country appear to be changing rapidly. The Meteorological Department has issued rainfall alerts for most states. Warnings have been issued for rain in several areas of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand. A ‘Yellow Alert’ has also been issued for Mumbai and surrounding regions. The department has stated that strong winds reaching speeds of 40 km/h could blow in Bihar between August 2 and August 6.

According to the IMD, rainfall is expected to continue in parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Additionally, the skies will remain cloudy over Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram, with warnings issued for light rain in some areas.

Weather in Jharkhand

According to the Meteorological Department, light rain is likely in Jharkhand between August 1 and August 3. The forecast indicates cloudy skies accompanied by intermittent light rainfall during this period.

Weather in Bihar

The Meteorological Department has issued alerts for several districts in Bihar, including Darbhanga, Samastipur, Begusarai, Gaya, Bhagalpur, and Munger. Light rainfall is expected in these districts.

Weather in Delhi

In Delhi, the maximum temperature is expected to range between 32°C and 35°C, while the minimum temperature is likely to hover around 26°C on August 3. The department states that the sky will remain cloudy for the next three days, with light rain possible in various areas from morning through afternoon. An alert for light to moderate rain has been issued for certain parts of Delhi on August 3.

Weather in Maharashtra

Rainfall is set to continue in Mumbai and surrounding areas on August 2. The Meteorological Department predicts light to moderate rain throughout the day, along with a possibility of thunderstorms in some locations.

Rainfall Warnings for These States

The Meteorological Department forecasts that rainfall will continue across West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands for the next week. According to the IMD, heavy rainfall is forecast for several areas of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh between August 2 and August 6. During this period, strong winds at 30 to 40 kmph are also likely.
