After selling Alejandro Grimaldo to Atletico Madrid for a reported fee of around €22 million, Bayer Leverkusen seem to have identified the Spaniard’s replacement at left-back.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano, Leverkusen have had a bid for Gutierrez accepted by SSC Napoli. The deal is reportedly worth €30 million, including bonuses.
The Spanish full-back scored one goal and registered one assist in 36 appearances for Napoli during the 2025/26 season.
Die Werkself are also expected to reinforce the other side of their defence, with KRC Genk right-back Zakaria El Ouahdi reportedly among the options under consideration for the right-back role.
