Over the past year, Arjun Kapoor has dedicated significant time to enhancing both his physical and mental health. He emphasizes that a pivotal shift for him was learning the importance of saying 'No.' He explains, "It's crucial to evaluate if something truly benefits you and adds value to your life."
Reflecting on his past, Arjun acknowledges that he prioritized quantity over quality for over fifteen years, a mindset he has since reconsidered. "I always aimed to stay busy," he shares, noting that this urgency often led him to seize every opportunity. "Many of my choices were simply based on availability. I spread myself too thin and neglected to allow time for recovery and healing," he admits.
Therapy has played a vital role in his transformation, becoming an essential part of his routine. "Therapy is non-negotiable for me now. I never skip a session," he states, highlighting the importance of spending quality time with friends, family, and himself. "I've learned to embrace silence and solitude, finding comfort in my own thoughts," he reveals.
Travel has also contributed to his self-discovery. Arjun shares, "A significant change has been traveling solely for my own enjoyment." He recounts trips to Amsterdam with friends, visits to Vienna, Venice, Goa, Alibaug, Vana in Dehradun, and London over the past year. "I even extended my stay after work trips, like in Hong Kong. These travels were spontaneous, not dictated by work. Previously, I rarely took vacations, viewing two or three days off as a luxury. Now, I can take ten days off whenever I wish."
Arjun Kapoor's journey of self-reflection and discovery truly exemplifies the idea that the journey is just as important as the destination.
