Tech company Tecno has shared a teaser of its next-gen bezel-less concept phone on social media platform X ahead of its debut at IFA 2026. The company claims that it is a smartphone with 0mm display borders. This concept device is likely to be introduced during the showstopper event to be held in September, during which the company will present its new display technology. The teaser material indicates that the black borders visible on all four sides of the screen will be removed through a new internal structure and updated display packaging methods. However, the punch-hole cutout will be retained for the front side.

According to a post shared by Tecno on social media platform X, the next-gen bezelless concept phone will be unveiled at the showstopper event of IFA 2026. The company says that it has achieved a 0mm display border with the help of advanced internal stacking, new screen packaging technology and structural re-engineering, which will completely eliminate the black border between the display and the frame.  (Photo courtesy: X) 

Tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) has also shared some photos of this concept phone on X and says that it is the industry’s first smartphone concept with a truly 0mm display border. The teaser shared by Tecno on social media shows an edge-to-edge display that extends completely across the front panel. The upcoming handset has a punch-hole cutout in the middle for the selfie camera. The company is yet to reveal other hardware specifications of the smartphone.

The company will showcase this concept handset at the IFA 2026 Show Stoppers event to be held in Berlin. This trade show will be held from September 4 to September 8. The company has not yet shared any information about when this device will be launched in the smartphone market. Also, no information has been shared yet about whether this design will be used to make smartphones in the future.

Smartphone makers have been focusing on reducing display borders for quite some time now, and many flagship devices are also sporting very thin bezels. This latest concept from Techno takes that approach to the next level, presenting a design in which visible borders have been completely removed. For now, this is just a technology demo.
