Indian boxing has achieved its best-ever performance at the Commonwealth Games, with Sachin Siwach and Ankush Panghal winning gold medals, bringing the total medal count to a historic nine—seven gold and two silver—in Glasgow. President Murmu congratulated Priya Ghanghas for her Gold Medal in the Women's 60kg Boxing event, stating that her success exemplifies India's dedication to sporting excellence.
The boxing team has delivered an unprecedented performance, securing seven gold medals through athletes including Preeti Pawar (54kg), Jaismine Lamboria (57kg), Sakshi Chaudhary (51kg), Priya Ghanghas (60kg), Arundhati Choudhary (70kg), Sachin Siwach (60kg), and Ankush Panghal (80kg).
