Kilmarnock have secured a significant defensive reinforcement by signing Johnly Yfeko from Exeter City in a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.

The versatile defender, capable of operating both as a centre-back and at left-back, brings a blend of youth and experience shaped across England and Scotland.

Yfeko's   journey began in the youth academies of Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City, where he honed his defensive skills before making a strategic move north of the border. In 2022, he joined Rangers, one of Scotland's premier clubs, where he remained under contract until 2025. During his stint at Ibrox, he managed to break into the senior squad, making a solitary first-team appearance, while accumulating valuable minutes in 17 matches for the Rangers B team.

Kilmarnock's acquisition of Yfeko signals their intent to bolster defensive options with a player who has been trained at top-tier English clubs and tested within a competitive Scottish environment. His versatility across the backline is expected to provide tactical flexibility for the team moving forward.

This transfer marks a critical step in Yfeko's career, transitioning from a promising prospect at Exeter City to a more prominent role at Kilmarnock. The club has yet to disclose the financial details of the deal, but the move underscores their ambition to strengthen their squad with young, adaptable talent.

Johnly Yfeko's signing is poised to add depth and resilience to Kilmarnock's defence as they seek to make their mark in the upcoming fixtures.
