Liverpool are keen on signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola during the summer transfer window.
According to The Athletic, PSG want £145 million before agreeing to a sale, while the Reds are looking to strike a deal worth £100m.
Barcola has already made it known that he will not sign a new contract at Parc des Princes.
He has featured 152 times in all competitions, scoring 39 goals and providing 37 assists.
The French attacker played a key part in his club winning the Champions League and Ligue 1 titles last season.
However, he was left frustrated by manager Luis Enrique’s decision to leave him out of the starting XI for PSG’s biggest matches, including the Champions League final.
Barcola is looking for a fresh challenge in the Premier League, but PSG are not prepared to let him go unless they receive a premium transfer fee.
Liverpool spent a club-record £446m on seven new additions to the squad last summer. Most of those signings struggled to make a real impact.
The Reds ended last season in fifth place in the Premier League, and their Champions League campaign came to an end in the quarter-finals.
Liverpool are expected to be careful in the transfer market this summer, but they could still go all out to bring in Barcola.
