Curran's Captain's Knock
While Pooran provided the fireworks, Sam Curran's contribution was equally critical to the result's margin. His 60 from 39 deliveries was built on sound judgement and clean striking. He launched Abrar Ahmed over straight midwicket for six in the 71st ball, steered Potts for four through the leg side off an inside edge, and hit Lawrence down the ground for another boundary. A full toss from Potts in the 81st ball was deposited over wide long on for six, taking MI London to within 11 of their target.
With 11 needed from 20 balls, the result was effectively sealed. Pooran carved Potts through the covers for the winning four in the 84th ball, ending the chase with the kind of authority that had been on display since he arrived at the crease.
Sunrisers Left Without Answers
Sunrisers' bowling attack, which had performed admirably through the powerplay and middle stages, ultimately had no response once Pooran found his range. Carse's early 2 for 18 from his 20-ball allocation was the clear highlight of their bowling effort.
