Mumbai, July 29 - Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), has taken aim at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding the proposed delimitation bill. Speaking on Wednesday, he emphasized that instead of increasing the number of MPs, the government should focus on creating job opportunities for the youth. During a ceremony for the release of three books, he indirectly referenced the alleged misappropriation of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, accusing the BJP of a 'use and throw' policy with Lord Ram.

Questioning the rationale behind the proposed bill to increase the number of Lok Sabha members, Thackeray alleged that MPs are being courted to support this legislation. His comments pointed to the recent event where six Lok Sabha members from Shiv Sena (UBT) joined the faction led by Eknath Shinde. He stated, 'Instead of increasing the number of MPs, focus on enhancing employment opportunities.' He raised a critical question about how 850 MPs would find time to speak when the current 550 MPs struggle to do so.

Thackeray also noted that even Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, is often denied the opportunity to speak. He praised the youth for their activism regarding the NEET question paper leak and their demand for the resignation of then Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Thackeray remarked that when it seemed democracy was fading, the youth revitalized it through their movements.

The former Chief Minister of Maharashtra attributed the rising anger among the youth to the government's actions. He pointed out that the nation has witnessed the consequences of ignoring the voices of young people. Thackeray asserted that if the youth are labeled as 'cockroaches,' their frustration is understandable.
