There is good news for female candidates preparing for jobs in the healthcare sector. The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission (HPRCA) has issued a recruitment notification for 312 Assistant Staff Nurse positions. Candidates selected through this recruitment drive will be appointed on a five-year contract. The online application process will begin on July 30, 2026, and interested candidates can apply until August 29, 2026. This is considered a golden opportunity for female candidates who have completed their nursing education and possess the requisite qualifications to secure a government job.

The application process will be entirely online, commencing at 10:00 AM on July 30, 2026. Candidates can submit their applications until 11:59 PM on August 29, 2026. A correction window will also be available for four days after the application process concludes, allowing candidates to modify their applications if necessary.

What are the qualifications?
To apply for this recruitment, candidates must hold a B.Sc. Nursing or GNM degree from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks. Additionally, active registration with the Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration Council (HPNRC) is mandatory. Generally, candidates are required to be bona fide residents of Himachal Pradesh. For candidates from other states, it is mandatory to have completed their 10th and 12th-grade education at an institution in Himachal Pradesh.

Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 and 45 years of age as of January 1, 2026. Female candidates belonging to the state's reserved categories will receive a 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit.

What is the selection process?
The application fee is set at ₹800 for all categories, while an additional fee of ₹100 will be charged for any modifications to the application. Selection will be based on a 120-mark Computer-Based Test (CBT) or an OMR-based written examination. This will be followed by document verification and a medical test. Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹25,000. Interested candidates can apply online after completing the One-Time Registration (OTR) on the official HPRCA portal.
