Gold prices in the country have dropped further. As of the morning of July 30, rates have decreased in most cities. In the capital, Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold has slipped to ₹143,650 per 10 grams. The strengthening of the Indian rupee is exerting downward pressure on the prices of precious metals within the country. A stronger rupee makes purchasing gold in foreign currency cheaper, thereby reducing costs for bullion traders. Consequently, retail gold prices in India begin to decline.

According to Reuters, spot gold prices in the international market have risen, climbing to $4,080.38 per ounce. US gold futures for August delivery have also increased, reaching $4,078 per ounce. In its July meeting, the US Federal Reserve kept benchmark interest rates unchanged at 3.50%–3.75%. Lowering interest rates or maintaining them at stable levels acts as a positive trigger for assets like gold and silver.
