“Gaming isn't just about playing anymore. It's about creating, building a community and even making a career out of it,” says gaming content creator Shagufta Iqbal, better known as Xyaa. That sentiment was visible across the packed halls of GeForce Day 2026 in Pune, organised by HP HyperX and NVIDIA at Pune's Messe Convention Centre, where students, gamers, creators and AI enthusiasts gathered to explore the latest in gaming and technology.
The spotlight of the day was on HP HyperX Omen RTX gaming laptops and HyperX accessories, showcasing how gaming hardware is increasingly powering AI-driven creativity, content creation and high-performance computing. Visitors experienced RTX-powered gaming, AI demonstrations and hands-on sessions designed to showcase how gaming technology is evolving beyond entertainment.
Attendees had the freedom to explore gaming zones that featured highly popular titles such as Forza Horizon, Resident Evil and Valorant, along with live product demonstrations, cosplay, influencer interactions, contests and giveaways. Gaming creators, developers and streamers interacted with students, many of whom were eager to understand how gaming and AI are opening up new creative and professional opportunities.
For veteran gaming creator Mithul Nayak (8Bit Binks69), the enthusiasm reflected the industry's growth. “Most of the people I met at the event are gamers, whether casual or competitive. They want to build something for themselves,” he said.
Among the attendees, the event left a strong impression. VFX and graphics student Aditya Srivastava, who won the HyperX Valorant competition, said exploring the latest gaming setups and high-performance PCs was “an wonderful experience.” Student graphic designer Rimo Majumdar, who primarily plays on mobile, said trying out gaming PCs convinced him to consider switching to PC gaming, calling the experience “on a completely different level.” Meanwhile, media student Neha Singh said the AI sessions gave her a fresh perspective on content creation, adding that they “opened my eyes to the new possibilities that technology is creating for creators.”
With packed gaming arenas and enthusiastic participation from students across colleges, GeForce Day 2026 highlighted the growing intersection of gaming, AI and digital creativity.
