Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee is drawing strong transfer interest, with Juventus, Ajax and two unnamed Premier League clubs all looking at a possible move. The Dutch striker could be on his way out of Old Trafford quickly after finding it hard to nail down a regular starting place.
Suitors line up for Zirkzee
Zirkzee has become a major transfer target this summer, with several clubs exploring a deal, according to The Athletic. The Dutch striker, who the Red Devils are willing to sell, is weighing up his options after a tough spell in English football. Two unnamed Premier League rivals have checked on his situation, while Ajax also made an enquiry about United's position. However, the Eredivisie club are not expected to push ahead with an agreement after the arrivals of Marcos Leonardo and Tolu Arokodare.
At the same time, Juventus are working hard to land his signature. The Italian giants are trying to put together a loan deal, with Zirkzee reportedly giving the green light for a return to Serie A.
Juventus seek an attacking reinforcement
Juventus are aiming to bring in an ambitious attacking reinforcement for manager Luciano Spalletti, with hopes of pairing Zirkzee alongside Paris Saint-Germain's Randal Kolo Muani. This aggressive move in the market comes after an injury to young Italian striker Jeff Ekhator. The Old Lady's hierarchy believe Zirkzee's technical quality would fit perfectly with Kolo Muani's pace. Their interest is being driven by football director Ricky Massara, who had earlier tried to sign the Dutchman for Roma.
Struggles in the Premier League
Zirkzee joined Old Trafford from Bologna in 2024 for £36.5 million, carrying big expectations after a superb 2023-24 Serie A campaign. However, the technically gifted forward has found it difficult to adapt to the Premier League's demanding standards. The striker has managed only 19 starts across 56 league appearances over the past two seasons, and has scored just five goals in the Premier League. Even so, Zirkzee recently showed his quality by scoring a fine goal in a strong pre-season display against Rosenborg.

What's next for Zirkzee?
As United manager Michael Carrick looks to build a Premier League title challenge for the 2026-27 season, the club will carefully review their attacking options. Letting Zirkzee go could create the squad space needed to carry out these ambitious transfer plans. With Zirkzee's future still uncertain, interested clubs will keep trying to convince him to leave Old Trafford this summer.
