In a recent segment on Youtube, well-known journalist Fabrizio Romano said that Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba is eager to join Manchester United this summer. Romano said,
“And for example, Baleba is also a player who would be super keen on joining Manchester United.
“Already one year ago, Baleba wanted to go to Man Utd, but on this one, it’s on Man Utd to decide if they want to return in talks with Brighton or not.
“So, that’s the status around these players.”
Baleba had a strong season for the English club, as he delivered a series of impressive performances in the centre of the pitch. The 22-year-old played 35 matches for the Seagulls last season but could not score or set up a goal for them across several competitions.
The Cameroonian talent is now regarded as one of the most gifted holding midfielders in the Premier League. So, the Red Devils would be wise to try and bring him to Old Trafford this off-season.

His present contract at the American Express Community Stadium runs until the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him cheaply in this transfer window.
Baleba is a hard-tackling midfielder who judges his challenges well to win the ball back for his side in their own half. He also clears danger when required and is a neat passer of the ball from midfield.
The Cameroonian talent already has useful Premier League experience and should not take long to settle at the Mancunian club. He mainly operates as a holding midfielder but can also play as a box-to-box midfielder if needed.
We can expect Baleba to add more bite and steel to Man United boss Michael Carrick’s midfield department. He has the quality to push for a regular first-team place at Old Trafford in the seasons ahead.
At 22, Baleba has the potential to become a world-class player in his role one day. Therefore, Carrick should look to go all out to bring him on board in this transfer window.
