Weather Today: Monsoon will remain active over most parts of Jharkhand and Bihar on 28 July 2026. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cloudy sky throughout the day in many districts, light to moderate rain and rain with thunder at some places. Especially in many parts of Jharkhand and eastern and southern districts of Bihar, the impact of weather can be seen more. Although normal life will continue at most places, people have been advised to remain alert due to the possibility of rain and lightning.

How will the weather be in Bihar today?

• On July 28, the sky will be cloudy in most of the districts including Patna, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Munger, Purnia, Araria, Supaul, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Chhapra, Hajipur, Biharsharif, Buxar, Arrah and Sasaram. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and thundershowers at many places.
• A warning of thunderstorm along with rain has also been issued in districts like Araria, Banka, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Supaul, Madhubani, Rajgir, Gaya, Bodhgaya, Sheikhpura, Nalanda and Jamui. Whereas in areas like Patna, Arrah, Buxar, Darbhanga, Hajipur and Sasaram, there may be light rain and thundershowers.
• Talking about temperature, in most of the districts the maximum temperature is expected to be between 32 to 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 to 29 degrees Celsius.

Indications of moderate rain at many places in Jharkhand

• In Jharkhand, there is a possibility of rain with cloudy sky in most of the districts including Ranchi, Deoghar, Vaidyanathdham, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Lohardaga, Chaibasa, Daltonganj, Ramgarh, Garhwa, Gumla, Koderma and Simdega on July 28.
• There has been a warning of heavy rain at one or two places in Deoghar, Vaidyanathdham and Bokaro along with thunderstorms and strong wind at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour. There are chances of intermittent rain in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Chaibasa and Dumka also.
• In most of the districts of Jharkhand, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 28 to 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be between 22 to 27 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Dhanbad is likely to be around 33 degrees and minimum 27 degrees.

The rain will continue in the coming days also

According to the forecast, most parts of Bihar and Jharkhand will remain cloudy on July 29 and 30. Light to moderate rain may continue in many districts. There will be a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning at some places in the eastern and southern districts of Bihar, while there are indications of moderate rain with strong winds in many parts of Jharkhand. There will not be much change in the temperature and there will be relief from the heat due to rain.
