Weather Today: Monsoon remains fully active in many parts of the country. On July 27, 2026, the weather pattern will change from Delhi-NCR to Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan. At some places there will be light to moderate rain and at some places there is a possibility of heavy rain and storm with thunderstorms. Especially in Gujarat and some states, an alert is issued regarding lightning and strong winds. There are indications that rain will continue in many areas for the next two-three days.

Light rain, humidity will remain in Delhi-NCR

The maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR on July 27 is expected to be 34°C and minimum 26°C. The sky will remain cloudy throughout the day and there may be light rain or drizzle. However, there is no possibility of any major weather warning. The weather will be more active on 28th and 29th July and light to moderate rain with thunder may be seen.

Rain in many districts of Uttar Pradesh, more impact on eastern parts

The weather in Uttar Pradesh will be different in different districts. There may be one or two rounds of rain with clouds in Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Meerut and Banda. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder in Ayodhya. There is an alert of heavy rain in Ballia on 27th July. The weather in Agra will be relatively clear and the maximum temperature may reach 36°C. Rain activities may increase further in many parts of the state from July 28.

Chances of rain with thunder in Madhya Pradesh

There will be a possibility of rain and thundershowers in most parts including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Chitrakoot and Pachmarhi. The maximum temperature will be between 27 to 33 degrees Celsius. There may be rain with lightning and thunderstorm in the entire state. Similar weather is expected to continue for the next few days.

Warning of continuous rain and lightning in Chhattisgarh

There is an alert of rain with thunder and lightning in Raipur, Bilaspur and Durg on July 27. The temperature will be around 30 to 31 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of moderate rain and thundershowers in Jashpur also. There are indications that the rainy season will continue in the state from 28th to 30th July.

Need to be most cautious in Gujarat

The weather will be most active in Gujarat on 27th July. Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Surat and Valsad may experience thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds with a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour. The maximum temperature in most cities will be 30 to 32 degrees Celsius. There will be some reduction in heavy rain from July 28, but light rain may continue.

Rain continues in many cities including Mumbai in Maharashtra

Moderate rain is expected in Mumbai's Borivali, Chembur, Colaba, Mulund, Powai, Santa Cruz and Worli on July 27. Nagpur will remain cloudy, while there is a possibility of light rain. Light rain will continue in Pune and Kolhapur and moderate rain in Nashik and Ratnagiri. The temperature will range between 29 to 32 degrees Celsius in most cities.

Weather will change in Haryana and Rajasthan also

There is a possibility of light rain and thundershowers amidst clouds in Ambala, Chandigarh, Karnal, Gurugram, Rohtak, Hisar, Bhiwani and Narnaul of Haryana. The impact of light to moderate rain may further increase in some areas on July 28.

In Rajasthan, there are chances of rain and thundershowers in Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur and Sikar. There is a possibility of rain in Jodhpur too, while Jaisalmer will remain cloudy despite the temperature reaching 39°C. There are indications that the weather will become relatively calm in many parts of the state from July 28.

How will the weather be in the next few days?

Even after July 27, monsoon will remain active in most parts of the country. Light to moderate rain is likely to continue in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. The impact of heavy rains in Gujarat from July 28 may be somewhat reduced, while in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, there are indications that rains with thunderstorms will continue. People in the areas warned by the Meteorological Department have been advised to take extra caution during lightning and strong winds.
