Barcelona have now removed much of the uncertainty around the three men who will be responsible for guarding their goal next season.
Last summer brought a strategic investment in Joan García, a goalkeeper made for both the present and the future. This time, the sporting department has a different priority: easing the congestion that had been forming between the posts, with several loan players due back from other clubs.
As reported by " Sport ", sporting director Deco is set to end the month having done most of the work required to break that logjam.
Marc-André ter Stegen's exit is getting closer
Marc-André ter Stegen's situation was the most complicated of all, both financially and physically. Unless there is an unexpected twist, it will be the next move to be completed and officially confirmed.
The German goalkeeper's contract runs until the summer of 2028, but Hansi Flick had no place for him in his plans. He therefore agreed to join Ajax Amsterdam on loan under Michel, who worked with him last season at Girona.
The tax issues that were delaying the move have been sorted out in the last few hours, and his arrival in Amsterdam should become a reality at the start of next week.
Ter Stegen played 45 minutes against Como, but he is unlikely to travel with the Barcelona squad for their training camp in England.
Iñaki Peña: the end of 14 years with Barcelona
Barcelona completed one of their first deals of the summer with this move. Pena had shown a good level in an Elche shirt during the first half of last season before losing his place to Matias Dituro, and Panathinaikos came in for him, signing him for around 3 million euros.
The transfer brought to a close more than a decade with the Catalan club for the Alicante-born goalkeeper.
He has already made his competitive debut for his new side. Pena played the full 90 minutes in the first leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying round, helping the Greeks to a 2-1 away win over Hungary's Paksi.
Astralaga to Atlético Madrid's reserve team
Barcelona have not renewed Ander Astralaga's contract after the end of his loan spell at Granada, bringing his eight-year spell with the club to an end.
Astralaga joined Barcelona in the summer of 2018 through the youth system. He never made an official appearance for the first team, although he did play in a friendly against Manchester City.
Atlético Madrid's reserve side have announced his signing on a contract running until 2028.

Yacko wanted in La Liga
After a loan spell at Andorra, the young Hungarian goalkeeper began pre-season with the first team. Even so, both the player and the club believe another loan is the best route for him to secure regular minutes.
Jako is 20 and needs to play. He also has a strong reputation in Spanish football.
Journalist Matteo Moretto reports that Racing Santander, Levante and Real Mallorca are all interested.
Diego Costa: a loan that looks like a farewell
Barcelona viewed the 20-year-old American goalkeeper as a player for the future, but his loan to Lyngby Boldklub until the summer of 2027 gives the Danish club a buy option worth close to 1.5 million euros.
Neither side made that clear in their official statements, but Barcelona will retain 40% of the value of any future sale if they give up ownership of the player. That clause allows them to profit if the goalkeeper excels, or to ease the route to bringing him back later.
Kochen needs to play. He has to show that the big expectations around him during his development can carry over into professional football, even if the destination appears "exceptional" compared with the usual path.
The awaited decision: youth or experience?
Joan García is the undisputed first choice, with Szczęsny as his backup on a deal that runs until next summer. That leaves Barcelona's sporting management weighing two possible routes to finalise the goalkeeping department.
The most likely option? Íker Rodríguez, born in 2008 and regarded as the top goalkeeper in La Masia, shares third-choice duties with Eder Aller.
Alternatively, Deco could go into the transfer market for an experienced keeper at a low cost to compete with Szczęsny. Álex Remiro is the name most often mentioned in that scenario.
Whichever way it goes, Barcelona's goalkeeping picture is becoming clearer by the day. Most of the doubts have now been settled, and the rest should follow soon enough.
Even so, the window still remains open for more than a month. A lot can still happen before it closes.
