India vs Zimbabwe 2nd T20 Result: India defeated Zimbabwe by 90 runs in the second T20 match played in Harare on Saturday. With this victory, India has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Team India not only won the match, but also added another big world record to its account in T20 International cricket. Batting first, India scored 219 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the entire Zimbabwe team was reduced to just 129 runs in 17.5 overs.
India's batting: Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma created a ruckus
After losing the toss and coming to bat first, Team India had a weak start. Opener Abhishek Sharma was out after scoring just 8 runs. 15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi attacked the Zimbabwe bowlers as soon as he arrived. He scored 20 runs in just 9 balls, which included 3 fours and 1 brilliant six. Captain Shreyas Iyer (25 runs) and Ishan Kishan together handled the innings and added 66 runs.
Ishaan-Tilak's storm
After Shreyas's dismissal, Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma gave a tough class to the Zimbabwe bowlers. Together they gave away 21 runs to captain Sikandar Raza in the 15th over. Ishan Kishan scored 81 runs (9 fours, 2 sixes) in just 44 balls, while Tilak Verma returned unbeaten after scoring 60 runs (5 fours, 3 sixes) in 29 balls. India made a mountain-like score of 219/5 in 20 overs.
Zimbabwe's innings: entire team collapsed for 129 runs
The Zimbabwean team, which was chasing the huge target of 220 runs, looked under pressure from the very beginning. Indian bowlers did not give any batsman a chance to survive. Brian Bennett scored the highest score of 32 runs, but none of the other batsmen could play a big innings and the entire team was reduced to 129 runs in 17.5 overs.
