Automobile Desk – The popularity of sub-4 meter compact SUV segment is continuously increasing in the Indian automobile market. To further strengthen its hold in this race, Maruti Suzuki has launched its most favorite car 2026 Brezza Facelift in the market with a new look, powerful engine options and many high-tech changes. With this much-awaited launch recently, the company has given a direct challenge to vehicles like Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Skoda Kushaq in this segment.

Underbody CNG Tank: No more hassles about boot space

​The biggest and practical attraction of the new Brezza is its CNG setup. Till now the biggest complaint in CNG vehicles was regarding lack of boot space. Finding a permanent solution to this problem, Maruti has set the CNG cylinder in the lower part (underbody) of the car. Due to this smart design change, the luggage space inside the car has become completely empty and practical, due to which there will be no problem in keeping the luggage during long distance journeys.

Combination of powerful engine and excellent mileage

For performance and mileage lovers, the 2026 Brezza is offered with three different engine options:

​1.0-litre Turbo BoosterJet (Petrol): This manual variant is capable of delivering an impressive mileage of 21.09 km/l in the starting LXi/VXi and 20.81 km/l in the top ZXi/ZXi+ variants.

​1.5-litre Smart Hybrid (Petrol): This 4-cylinder engine with 1,462 cc capacity generates 103.06 PS power and 139 Nm torque. It has a fuel tank of 48 liters. It returns a mileage of 20.81 km/l in manual transmission and 20.17 km/l in 6-speed paddle-shifter automatic transmission.

​1.5-Litre S-CNG Mode: Coming with the K15C engine, this model produces 103.06 PS power on petrol and 121.5 Nm torque on CNG. Its CNG mileage is 26.90 km/kg. It has a tank of 55-litre (water equivalent) capacity.

Premium feel in cabin and interior

The cabin of the vehicle has been made very premium with dual-tone theme. It has features like chrome-plated door handles, fabric finish armrest, leather-wrapped steering wheel, piano black dashboard elements and footwell illumination. For smooth ride, MacPherson strut has been provided at the front and torsion beam suspension at the rear. Ventilated disc brakes at the front with 215/60 R16 size tires reinforce the safety.

Price, Warranty and Attractive Colors

The starting ex-showroom price of the new Maruti Brezza facelift has been kept at ₹ 7.40 lakh (which is a limited time introductory offer). To increase customer confidence, the company is giving a standard warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 kilometers on it.

​The color options include vibrant single and dual-tone shades like Vivacious Orange, Lustrous Beige, Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Sizzling Red and Magma Gray (with bluish black roof). Bollywood actor Kartik Aryan is associated as its brand ambassador.
