glasgow [स्कॉटलैंड]July 26 (ANI): It's going to be a busy day for India on Sunday with the Commonwealth Games 2026 getting underway in Glasgow, according to ESPN. The country's weightlifting campaign will begin on this day, while boxing, swimming and artistic gymnastics competitions will continue.

Sunday will be an important day for India, with gold medal contender Mirabai Chanu starting her campaign at the Games with the start of the weightlifting competition. Rishikant Singh and M Raja will also compete in their respective weight categories. According to ESPN, in boxing, Preeti Pawar and Aditya Pratap Yadav will start their campaign, while Jadumani Singh will face a Pakistani opponent in the second round of the men's 55kg category.

One bronze in India's account so far

India has one medal in the first two days of the Games, with Jhandu Singh securing a bronze in the men's heavyweight para powerlifting event. The lawn bowls competition will also continue, with Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinky Singh aiming for their fourth consecutive win in the women's pairs event.
