Spain forward Salma Paralluelo has officially joined French giants OL Lyonnes on a four-year contract after leaving Barcelona. The 22-year-old free agent brings an end to a brilliant four-year stay in Catalonia, where she collected 14 major trophies, and is now set to begin the first overseas chapter of her career under former manager Jonatan Giraldez.
Lyonnes have now confirmed the signing of Spain international forward Paralluelo on a four-year deal that runs until 2030. The 22-year-old arrives on a free transfer after ending her spell at Barcelona following unsuccessful contract negotiations in June. The move gives the former sprinter her first experience outside Spain, following the summer exits of former team-mates Alexia Putellas, Mapi Leon and Ona Batlle.
Paralluelo’s move to France also reunites her with Giraldez, the coach who guided her through the most productive season of her career, when she produced 34 goals and seven assists in the 2023-24 campaign in Catalonia. Across four seasons in Barcelona colours, the former Villarreal star scored 72 goals in 131 appearances and lifted 14 major honours, including three UEFA Women's Champions League titles and four Liga F crowns.
Her arrival further highlights Lyonnes’ strong ambition to build a star-filled squad capable of ruling European football. The Spanish forward completes a high-profile summer recruitment drive for the French giants, joining an impressive group of new arrivals that already includes Caroline Weir, Maria Luisa Grohs and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd.

The World Cup winner is due to report for Lyonnes’ pre-season training on July 27 before her official public unveiling four days later. The versatile attacker will be looking to make an instant impression in France after ending her Barcelona career in fine fashion by scoring twice in the Women's Champions League final against her new club. She is expected to be a key presence in Lyonnes’ attack as they chase domestic and European success in the 2026-27 campaign.
