India vs Zimbabwe T20: India defeated Zimbabwe by 90 runs in Harare T20. Ishan Kishan scored 81 runs and Tilak Verma scored 60 not out. Team India has made a big record in T20I.
India T20I Record: Team India once again proved that it is not easy to compete with them in T-20 cricket. In the second T20 match played in Harare on Saturday, India defeated Zimbabwe by 90 runs and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. But the bigger news than this victory was the record which made India the most successful batting nation in T20 International. By scoring a huge score of 219 runs, India achieved the feat of scoring 200 or more runs for the 52nd time in T20 International. In this matter, Team India has gone far ahead of all other countries.
200+ runs for the 52nd time, Team India is in the lead
Crossing the 200-run mark in T20 cricket is considered a big thing for any team. But this has almost become a habit for the Indian team now. By scoring 219 runs in Harare, India scored 200+ for the 52nd time in T20 International. South Africa, which is at second place, has 29 such scores. That means a big difference between India and other teams is clearly visible. Not only this, this was India's ninth 200+ score in the year 2026. With this the team also equaled its own record of scoring the highest score of 200+ in a calendar year.
Indian team had a bad start, then Ishan-Tilak turned the tables.
India did not have a good start. After the initial shock, it seemed that making a big score would not be easy. But Ishan Kishan handled the innings along with captain Shreyas Iyer. After this, Tilak Verma gave him excellent support. Both the batsmen scored runs quickly and maintained constant pressure on the Zimbabwean bowlers. Their partnership took India to 219 runs.
Ishan Kishan's explosive innings
Ishan Kishan changed the course of the match by scoring 81 runs in just 44 balls. He hit shots in every part of the ground and did not give the Zimbabwean bowlers a chance to make a comeback. On the other hand, Tilak Verma gave a brilliant finish by scoring 60 not out. The batting of both became the biggest reason for India's victory.
Indian bowlers also left no stone unturned
The target of 220 runs was difficult for Zimbabwe from the beginning. Abhishek Sharma broke the back of the host team by taking three wickets. Prince Yadav and Yash Thakur made the victory easy by taking two wickets each. The entire Zimbabwe team was reduced to just 129 runs in 17.5 overs.
Ind vs Zim 2nd T20: India also won the series
With this victory, India took a 2-0 lead in the three-match T20 series. That means the series was in India's lap even before the third match. Now Team India will be eyeing a clean sweep by winning the last match.
India vs Zimbabwe: Match Score
India: 219/5 (20 overs)
Ishaan Kishan- 81 runs (44 balls)

Zimbabwe: 129 all out (17.5 overs)

Why is this record of Team India special?
It is not easy to score 200+ consecutively in T20 cricket. This requires strong batting, fast run rate and consistent good performance. India has crossed this figure for the 52nd time and has shown that its batting is included in the most dangerous lineup in the world. This is the reason why Team India is far ahead of all other countries in this list.
