The Meteorological Department believes that the upcoming rains will bring down the temperature and people will get relief from the heat and humidity of the last few days. This rain is also considered beneficial for the farmers, because Kharif crops, especially paddy and other seasonal crops, will get adequate moisture. However, if some areas receive excessive rainfall in a short period of time, waterlogging may occur in low-lying areas.
Experts have advised people to avoid going out unnecessarily during strong sunlight, drink adequate amount of water and take special care of children and the elderly. At the same time, those who have to travel after July 28, should leave only after seeing the latest weather updates, because road traffic may be affected during rains.
In view of the possible rain, the Municipal Corporation and departments have also been instructed to clean the drains and maintain the drainage system, so that there is no problem of waterlogging in the city in case of rain. Traffic police will also keep an eye on major routes, so that jam situations can be avoided during rains.
At present the weather in Agra is clear and there is no possibility of rain today. If the meteorological department’s forecast is correct, then Intermittent rain for three consecutive days from July 28 Can provide relief to city dwellers from heat and humidity. The Meteorological Department is continuously monitoring the monsoon activities in the coming days and new updates will be issued if needed.
